Primary Applications:

Diacetone Alcohol is derived from Acetone. It is primarily used as an intermediate to manufacture other synthetic compounds. For example, Hydrogenation of Diacetone Alcohol yields Hexylene Glycol.

Industry Uses:

Diacetone Alcohol is an important solvent in chemical distribution. It has a low evaporation rate, which makes it an excellent solvent as a Lacquer Thinner. This chemical is used in manufacturing:

  • Elastomers

It can also be used as a:

  • Cleaning Solvent
